Our Founders
Brittiona Lewis
Brittiona Lewis is the co-founder of The Grove at Hearth, a learning collective rooted in rhythm, relationship, and real-world growth. With over a decade of experience leading global technology programs within a Fortune 20 environment, Brittiona brings a powerful blend of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and educational innovation to every layer of The Grove.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University, a Master of Science in Informatics from Texas Woman’s University, and additional certifications in Executive Management and Business Analytics from SMU and Michigan State. Throughout her career, Brittiona has led high-impact project management, cross departmental systems design, and audit and compliance initiatives. She has earned multiple leadership and performance awards and was selected for a premier internal leadership program recognizing top-performing women in tech. She is also an alumna of the 2020–2021 Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy cohort through Communities Foundation of Texas. In recent years, she has designed and taught technology and STEM curriculum, applying her industry experience to help students connect what they are learning to how the world actually works.
Brittiona has also taught math in multi age pod settings (K–2nd and 3rd–5th), middle school writing, and computer science for elementary and teen learners. Her teaching is rooted in clarity, creativity, and a strong belief in the value of purposeful, real world learning. She has built curriculum pathways, launched enrichment programs, and created intentional learning communities where children are not only taught but truly known. Her expertise in designing systems is matched by a natural gift for cultivating community, bringing families together around shared values, curiosity, and care.
She lives in Lewisville, Texas with her husband Jeremiah, and their daughter Jayde, who continues to be the heartbeat behind her educational vision.


Dr. Yunique Simpson, EdD
Originating from Syracuse, New York, Dr. Yunique Simpson is a seasoned leader and passionate advocate for people of all ages. With over 30 years of experience dedicated to empowering children, youth, and families, Dr. Simpson brings a global perspective to her work. Having traveled and worked with diverse demographics and people from all cultures, she is committed to creating inclusive environments where everyone can thrive. As the co-founder of The Grove at Hearth, Dr. Simpson combines her extensive background in business, leadership, and community service to foster growth, inspire change, and cultivate a sense of belonging for all individuals.

Dr. Simpson holds an Associate of Business Administration from American Intercontinental University, a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Lancaster Bible College, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Strayer University, and a Doctorate of Education (EdD) in Leadership & Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University. Her diverse academic credentials empower her to integrate strategic leadership principles with a deep understanding of people-centered service.

Throughout her career, Dr. Simpson has lent her expertise to product development and management with global impact in the corporate sector. She has also held pivotal roles in various youth-focused organizations. Her work with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America included roles as Project Manager, Teen Director, and Outreach Worker, where she helped implement transformative programs. She later served as Unit Director of two Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club locations in Greensboro and Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where her leadership impacted the lives of dozens of young people and families. With a heart for serving others, Dr. Simpson continues to lead with empathy, resilience, and a vision for positive change.

She currently resides in north Texas with her children, 2 of whom, she began homeschooling 10 years ago. Her extensive experience in both formal and informal education, coupled with her passion for people continues to drive Dr. Simpson’s work to empower individuals and transform lives worldwide.
